Summer has always been a crazy time. Even when i didn't have kids and worked full time and went to school - I seriously don't remember a busier summer since the summer before my mission. So my last post updated til the end of July-

Here's August.....

Swim Lessons for Lexi and Jordan. My kids have always been fish, especially Jordan so naturally Jordan jumped right in and when we bought him goggles he thought he was invincible!! Lexi although hesitant did a great job!!!! Jordan advanced to Level 2 and is now looking forward to soccer.

Snowbird... ahhhh fresh mountain air - we spent the night up at snowbird and had a good time. Swimming, eating, arcade and eating... Did i Mention eating?

I finished watching kids for the summer and we have been busy non-stop since then. A trip to Logan for Uncle James' birthday. We spent the day at Logan Aquatic Center and showing G'ma Lisa what little fishes they were.

And Jordan went back to school! He was so excited this morning he woke up early and made us leave early- so of course we had to wait. The funniest thing was when Jordan walked into school and breathed deeply and said, " Ahhh, It smells like school!"

I'm still pregnant and here is the 'bump'....Baby girl due January 2.

Cabin Time- It's really coming along. Our room has carpet and we finally got our bedding back up there and have slept there a couple of nights.

I know I am low on pics (sad- I know) but- I misplaced my camera and don't like to pull out my phone around water:) My goal is to do better with the pics!

Summer Fun

Haha- I wrote this in August and now it's September and much more has happened. But first the pics for this post. Maybe I can actually get on the ball now:)

Goodness me!! I can't believe all that has happened in the last couple months- it's a good thing that this blog isn't the newspaper! I can't keep up.

In May...

Happy Mother's Day to me.

Our baby girl turned 2- yes, that's right 2!! She recieved Gracie -her doll and loves her and loves taking care of her. Lexi is getting taller - too bad she isn't getting any wider too. She is talking up a storm and loves babies right now. She is the girliest of girls and loves princesses but will watch Transformers with her brother and refuses to have her hair done. She is a silly little girl who has her dad wrapped around her little finger.

Jordan ended his first 'year' of pre-school. He loved his teachers and they were wonderful for him. Here are a couple of pics with his teachers and the gifts we made for them.

We went up to the Condo in Midway to celebrate Lexi's and Kora's birthday - we had a good time and tried to relax for the most part.

In June...

Father's Day- Casey got a DVD from the kids, a primary gift that was sooo cute. And a jean quilt from all of us (too bad it still needs to be finished!)

Swimming, swimming, swimming. The kids love our lil pool and beg me to set it up often. And running through the sprinklers.

In July...

Hold on to your hats! We were super busy this month... We took a trip to California for a family reunion. Casey, Becca, Jordan, Alexis, James, Karen and Kora all drove to Coronado in one vehicle. We made lots of stops on the way there and fewer on the way back:) We spent a couple days in Coronado, for 4th of July parade and fireworks and then we traveled North to Temecula to stay with Aunt Ancy for a few days. While there Becca turned 30- yes sniff, sniff- 30! My present from Casey was an iPhone4 and my aunt Ancy bought me a 5lb bag of sour gummy worms! I'd love to say we went to the beach everyday but no such luck - the weather wasn't being friendly! We did go to the pool almost everyday and got quite the tan and Lexi decided to go golden blonde. We ended up stopping back in Las Vegas on the way home and wore ourselves and our kids walking to and from the 'strip' (some of the following pics are on the way to and the rest are on the way home from Cali).

Lexi gave up her bibi's (binkies) upon arrival at our home. She got a Build-a-bear dog for cutting them up and throwing them away. Two days later she refused to sleep in her crib - so she moved into a toddler bed. Only problem with that is - she can get out!!

Big News- Girl Fitts #2 is expected in January! Casey is still hoping i'll go in December 31. You may all think that he wants a tax break and that definetly wouldn't be a bad thing but more than anything he just wants a birthday buddy- hahaha!

Pineview came and went by very quickly, we didn't stay overnight but rather took up what we needed and had fun! G'ma Tess and G'pa Norm came up with us one day and we wore them out. The water was warm and the kids were like fish. Jordan hooked up with a cousin and ran a muck! The kids were not happy they had to go home!
Jordan, Lexi and I all participated in the Children's Parade on July 17th- as part of our Primary. The kids had fun although they did ask to go home before it had even started.

Nancy, Kevin, Mitchell and Jessica came and stayed with us before and after family camp. Mitchell and Jessica were great to help out with the kids and Nancy was a welcome adult conversationalist. We all headed up to Midway to see Nana and Deedee. We also celebrated the July Birthdays on July 25th after my brother, James, was set apart a member of the bishopric in his ward.

I hit up Cub Scout Day Camp for a day and also rushed to help one of our Webelos gain his Webelos badge and Arrow of Light- and WE MADE IT!!

Of course we can't forget that our lil man cub turns 4!! I can't even believe how fast time has gone. He is so smart and remembers so much! He is so excited to have another sister and he wants to take good care of her. He is a boy through and through and is still really big into Transformers.

Up ahead - I still have a few things i need to do around the house, paint the coffee table and some side tables, finish a jean quilt, and plenty more- trust me i won't get bored;)

Oh, how time flies....

We have had a lot of fun the last month and a half and here is just half of it....

March 9th - my sister got married, that's right my baby sis... The family pic above is from that delightful event. We had lots of family come and some pics I haven't seen yet, like my kids with their great-grandparents. It was so nice of G'pa Lyle and G'ma Mary watch the kids with Kaylee in the visitors room in the Logan Temple. G'pa Lyle said Jordan just stayed at the door waiting for us and Lexi crawled up on G'ma Mary's lap and fell fast asleep.

March 13 We went with Steph and her boys to the Disney on Ice- Everyone loved it! They loved the snacks most of all but they did great and next year we are getting better seats!! Jordan has already informed Casey he will be going with us next year!

We had a low key St Patricks day - shirts compliments of thoughtsthatstick.com and ribbons that Lexi loves from the talented aunt Colette.

Since then we have tried to enjoy this crazy mixed up weather they call spring....

We've also taken a trip to the Living Aquarium and we went with Lil' James, our neighbor. The kids had a blast and it was pretty stress free. Jordan liked almost everything but didn't want to touch the sting-rays, Lexi loved anything with bright colors and I love ocean life so we all had a good time.

With Easter we went to SSLC Easter Egg Hunt and spent approx 10 mins there... It was great the kids were done in 3 mins! Then we colored eggs at G'ma Susans house and the Easter Bunny made his delivers and then we drove up to Logan to surprise G'ma Lisa and G'pa Doug with brunch- they loved it...

The latest news is that i am an officially a minivan mom - proud owner of a 2009Toyota Sienna- it's name is currently a debate Snow white vs Rescue Jazz! Funny kids! Speaking of funny and crazy kids here are some extra shots we caught here and there..

Lexi is talking like crazy now and Casey swears she says her name is sexi - to me it sounds more like Lecki. Jordan is getting so big wayyyy to fast for me and he is so good to teach Lexi her numbers or letters (which can be pretty funny). He also loves going to preschool and is doing well in his class. He also continues to amaze me with his energy (i'd love a little bit).

These are the Days of Our Lives...

Since we have returned from our trip - we have been trying to catch up! The rest of January and all of February has passed by in a daze. You know the usual stuff- laundry, sickness, dishes, sickness, family, sickness, oh did i mention sickness?
well you know what they say- tis the season.

Jordan is growing up so fast and finally can count to 10 and recently told me he needs to learn his alphabet! He knows most of the sounds to the letters but has a short attention span so therefore has a hard time remembering all of them. He canalmost type his name in the computer. He also has given his first talk in Primary and did a great job. Casey helped him and he spoke about the atonement and compared it to the parable of the bicycle.

Lexi is finally over 20 lbs and getting very verbal. She finally says her prayers with help and is sooo cute. She loves to follow Jordo and is turning into a daddy's girl.... But still loves her mama. She loves 'soos' (shoes) and has to be wearing them- the more sparkly they are the better:) Her voice is the cutest little thing too.

A Wild Week of Fun!

So we finally made it to Cali for our family vacation..

We arrived Saturday, January 16, in San Diego and it was sunny. Jord got outside of the airport and asked if we were in a jungle (if any of you have seen Jungle Junction it has lots of palm trees). The plane ride there was great - Jordan took a nap the whole time and Lexi played with her mommy- it was fabulous! Shuttle to the rental place and getting the car took quite a bit of time and kids started getting restless but they did great getting to Pops' house and then going straight to dinner. They did so amazing - and Miguel's was amazing.

Stake Conference and Beach on Sunday. Stake Conference was televised and i did get to here a little bit of it mainly on keeping your priorities straight. Beach - lesson learned - don't go on Sundays! Both kids ended up wet and mad but hey we saw this awesome sand castle...

Monday morning we ended up at The Wild Animal Park- we had fun, it sprinkled on and off that day and we left just as it starting pouring!

Tuesday through Thursday we went to Disneyland and i am really trying to look on the bright side cuz the weather stunk! But we got to ride almost all the rides we wanted! There were hardly any lines. We took lots of pictures and had loads of laundry because we kept making trips back to the hotel to change because we were soaked!! Here are a ton of pics... Mitchell and Jessica are my cousins and they came with us on the first day- they are natives and had never had rain like that in Disneyland before!

On Thursday we actually went to California Adventure as well because it was raining and i wanted to make sure the kids saw Playhouse Disney Live and a few other things. Here are more pics - hopefully you can scan through them quickly but I know there are a few of you that wanted to see them...

Friday we drove up to LA to Universal Studios, I personally have never been there and therefore didn't know what to expect. It is for a little bit older age group but we saw lots of characters Jordan and Lexi liked and got free hot chocolate...

On Saturday - the sun finally decided to come out and we went to Sea World. The kids had fun and Jord would have been content to play at the play area but we did drag him to a couple of shows and over all i think they really liked it except when a seagull stole Lexi's granola bar and bit her fingers and she started bleeding. I did not get a pic of that because i was freaking out that it had hit my head before biting her.

I'll make comments on the pics later- here they are just to look and laugh:)

The Holidays...

Well Christmas was great for us except for the touch of flu (yuck!) Our cute lil boy ran upstairs and saw all the presents and came back downstairs with his eyes as big as saucers and said, "Guess what?! Santa came and left us presents! Come see!!" Since it was 8:30 am we agreed and headed upstairs. We did try to have breakfast and tell about the birth of Jesus but that did not last too long because we had one eager boy wanting to check everything out. He was so cute we didn't resist at all.

So, the tearing and throwing of paper ensued and Jordan had his presents open in record time where as Lexi was enthralled with her baby doll and required assistance (according to Jordan) to open the rest of her presents.

He was satisfied to play with his presents when i told him it was probably time to move them to the play room- he needed encouragement- so Casey went first and wanted to know what had been moved into the playroom. That caught Jordan's attention and we had Lexi's kitchen and Jord's workbench covered. They loved them and did little else that day than just play...

So after a little candy and really i mean like two pieces Jordan makes a mad dash to the bathroom where the lil guy promptly donated to the porcelin thrown...He and i pretty much stayed down and out for the rest of the day:(

He had enough energy to play however and by the end of the morning Jordan was playing with Lex's doll and Lexi was playing with Jordan's pirates- GO FIGURE!

We have had fun outside as well- Lexi doesn't like the snow at least while it is touching her hands but likes to say snow with a soft s so it sounds like NO. She is talking a lot more and has learned about 'hot choco' which she will request around the clock! She has also started to say pee-pee and we take her, sometimes she'll go and sometimes she won't but i'll take what i can get from a 19 month old.

Jordan still is going to preschool and loves it even more after the christmas break. He always wants to know what day it is, to know if it is a preschool day or not. He never ceases to amaze me what a smart kid he is, he sure takes after his daddy. He also now is a sunbeam and is so excited to have his cousins in primary with him especially Cole who is in his class.

Casey's 34th birthday and New year's eve hit us next and once again someone was sick - Lexi this time, with a urgent visit to our pediatrician that morning. So she and i stayed home and the boys went to G'ma and G'pa Fitts' house for festivities. They came home at 11:55pm and celebrated the New Year with us.

The lastest thing we have done was a little picnic in the artic! It has been so cold here! But the kids have had cabin fever- so we made a lil stop at Mickey D's and here is the picnic pics at Wheeler Farm...

Thanksgiving, Christmas and plenty in between

I should be officially fired! Good thing i don't get paid to update my blog- but then again maybe i should -so i would do it!! We had Halloween. Kids were super cute. We were Tigger, pooh, piglet and Christopher Robin. November flew by and Thanksgiving was here before i could blink. It was the Fitts year and we had 36 (?) people down in Randy and Susan's basement. Randy and Susan did such a great job of cooking and Heather decorated the table beautifully. The only problem we had that day was remembering to feed the kids (oops). Everything was so good and it was so wonderful to spend time with family. That really hit on November 28th when our brother-in-law died tragically on his dirt bike. The funeral was beautiful and my sister in law has been a wonderful example in showing her testimony of the plan of salvation. It's amazing what can happen in the face of tribulation. We have spent many nights with the family; going to temple square lights, playing games (curses- is pretty funny), and marveling in the warmth of family love.

Somewhere in between all that, the kids and i celebrated Christmas with my family- Yes! all of us (well except Casey). My sis was here from North Dakota with her family and we got some good family pics along with an unbelievable Christmas dinner. We even got an early visit from Santa and he gave us all gifts. About a week after that we celebrated 5 Years together.... yes... you read that right. We have been married for 5 years.

A couple of other things we have done is see extended family for my cousins wedding and reception. Celebrated Casey's brothers wedding on November 6th. and so many things i'm sure i'll forget something.
It has been a busy time like it usually is around this time of year- but it has been family based and I am so thankful for the atonement of our Saviour Jesus Christ and the plan of salvation. M. Russell Ballard visited our Stake Conference and really focused his talk on technology and the time we spend on it - he said we should be giving the Lord equal time and focusing on following the promptings of the spirit.

Merry Christmas to all of you this time of year as we celebrate the birth of our Savior and Redeemer. I am thankful for all of you- you have all touched my life and have made me a better person for knowing you. Thank you!!

On a Witch Hunt....

Today we made the annual run to Gardner Village to see the witches and see all the cute lil shops. Here are some pics of the 'witch fun'. 6 of the cousins weren't there because of school but the younger ones had fun looking at the witches, playing the jelly belly game, and trying to fall in the pond. The moms of course got to take pics, avoid kids getting wet, and taste an ear wax, a baby wipe, and a booger flavored jelly belly (um yuck). Overall, we wore our kids out and had fun. We missed those who didn't get to come.

Pumpkin Patch and Green Tomato Pie

Our Annual Pumpkin Patch Trip took place last monday and we had fun picking out pumpkins and going through the corn maze. Jordan liked it lots better this year, it could be because he actually got a nap in or it was warmer. For whatever reason we sure are grateful for the Hezseltines. Thanks.

They also have tractors there- so fun for the kids.

I recently made a green tomato pie and casey labeled the taste as tomato soup with cinnamon. The crust was my favorite part.

Jordan and Lexi have also been in fix-it mode so this is them fix-in! The last pic i had to throw in there- Lexi takin on her brother! haha

Just some cute chocolate pudding faces. Jord wanted me to make pudding so i fixed layers of chocolate and pistachio and then put a halloween oreo in it. It was lots better than green tomato pie and so much cuter and of course i didn't take a pic but they enjoyed it.

Farewell Fair Weather, Hello Unpredictable

Isn't life amazing! It is always throwing a curveball and especially since I liked things planned - I also like to do things spontaneously.

That is why I am loving my kids right now. Both of them are great sports when mom decides to run to the park or the store or whatever. I can't tell you they are good the whole time but it is wonderful to have 2 kids that understand what you are saying to some degree.

We have been to the zoo lots...
We went up to the cabin and stayed the weekend with 15 kids there. Saturday was fun making witch hands - the kids really enjoyed that. (I forgot my camera or it was downstairs or something)
We've spent a lil time with G'ma and G'pa Hinkle.
JR started preschool and loves it most of the time. He is like his dad however, and does better once he is there. He doesn't like getting ready for it.
Lex is starting to talk and hit her bum when she goes potty. She is saying new words ever day! She says Jordan and mommy the most but she loves to see daddy. She hums herself to sleep. She thinks she is a big girl and climbs up on the stools and then falls and just wants her momma. She is fun loving and finally turning into a cuddle bug.

Knot Fun!!

How can 3 weeks be so filled with craziness? I feel like I'm ages behind... We have been working on the house - getting central air, measuring for carpet. At the cabin I have only painted our room but Casey and the boys are hard at work. Campaigning- yes it has begun and lots of meetings with that. Work, and playing hard too. One thing we were super excited about was seeing our Trek kids again. It makes me think of the song- Each life that touches us for good. It is hard to think that 2 days with them could leave such an imprint on my heart and soul. But i was so excited to see them and felt like the night ended to soon and like I hardly got to see them at all. Here are some pics of our 'ho-down'. As always, the knot family was anxious cause we were ahead of everyone else. ahh - the lessons of life...

Pre-K and Zoo time

Jordan finally started pre-school. 2x a week for 3 hrs. He was gung-ho for a while and then has recently started to tell me he isn't going. He loved getting his backpack and going the first day. It was really sad to leave him there and then when i got home I put lexi down for a nap and had loads of time to clean. It's amazing how much you can get done in uninterrupted time.

As you can tell Jordan's backpack was a little big... we did end up getting him a smaller one that fits lots better.

On off days we get to go to the library and the zoo and just have fun. This year we again decided to renew our zoo pass and go up there to see all the cute babies. My kids love the zoo! We got to see the baby elephant- Zuri, along with the meerkats, crocodile, and amur tigers. so cute!!

And of course you can't go to the zoo without a treat... My kids are big fans of ice cream:)They get that from their great grandfather Ivan..

Family of 4 in 2009

Can someone please tell me how a family of 4 in 2009 in a house of 4 bedrooms (soon to be 5- bedrooms not members of family) all end up in the same bed? A queen mind you, it used to be big enough for 2 and now even with our small children, I have to wonder why i wake up so tired. Casey has moved to the couch many nights since sleeping with 2 whirlwinds isn't restful. I finally woke up one morning and just let them sleep in, I shoved them next to each other so they would keep themselves warm.

They are so cute when they are sleeping.....

Swimming with Pirates and Wrastling Tractors

No - not at the same time. We have had a lot of fun with family members this summer and Jordan, the little fish that he is loved this rec center in Bountiful by my brothers house.

We then went to Logan later in the month and went to the fair with my parents. We got to see huge tractors and sit on them. Of course only Jordan would learn how to turn on the lights in the seconds he was up there. They spoiled that child rotten and he loved every minute of it. Lexi is not ignored but still a lil too young for that kind of fun. She does love the carousel and went with granpa.

Casey and I were called as support staff in our stake trek and then 2 days before trekking it - we got called as Ma n Pa. And we had a blast! It was the best thing in the world... we had 9 kids with 2 uncles. I couldn't have asked for a better spiritual experience at that particular time. To bad we forget entirely too easily. The womans pull did it for me! I never realized how much my wonderful husband does for me and how sheltered I am. It really opened my eyes at first to what women do but in the last week I think it really has made me more appreciative of Casey. It is made me aware of how grateful I am to be born in this dispensation and KNOT pulling a handcart or bearing children in the snow .

We were the KNOTS, hence a lot of KNOT jokes by Uncle Ashby and new names for us all I was Ima, Casey- Ura, were, had, did, can etc- you get the picture. We had so much funny and enjoyed the kids we were assigned to. It was amazing to see such spirits in such young people.

Our famiy mission was Doubt Knot, Fear Knot... yeah I think we drove other families crazy but we had fun.

Heaven forbid we forget Jordan's 3rd birthday. He never lets us forget he is 3 now and going to preschool. He is so excited... here are some pics of when we went to the zoo for Zoo Booster night and his family bday party. Check out the cake - we have a transformer kid on our hands...

Do or Do Not There is no Try

I am sure i messed that quote up but Casey isn't here to help me quote Yoda properly. I sure am glad there is a 'try' in my world or I wouldn't get much done. As a mother of 2 this summer sure has past faster than a camel spitting in your eye (I don't know what to compare it to). We have had a lot of fun this summer and we have been busy too. I am sure you all understand- all of you were probably busy doing things with family, traveling, or just enjoying.
I am trying to update you with the last 3 months so hang in there!

Just silliness happens a lot at our house (along with procrastination -mostly me, hence no blog for 3 months).. But here are pics of Lex playing on the computer even though she knows she isn't allowed. And Jord insisting on getting in his Halloween Costume from 2 years ago and riding his bike.

Notice Jordan has grown in the last couple of years and there was no flood at our house!

We also had visitors. Melinda lived with Casey's parents while she had an internship here in interior design and so we saw her more. We also had Nancy and Jessica come stay with us a couple days and we had lots of fun. Ikea, food, more food.....

How could I forget the 4th of July and Fireworks.... Here are some from then

I turned 29 in July and had a great date night with my wonderful husband - dinner at Thaifoon and Transformers 2. I don't think I can remember being away from my children for that long without leaving them overnight somewhere. We, of course, ended up talking about the kids.

We also went on our annual pineview trip and although we didn't camp we had lots of water fun.

Prioritization

I have decided in order to make my family the first priority- I don't post as much - well that is what I have told myself anyway. We have been having lots of fun and have been busy working on the house still! But we have also been enjoying our children and their crazy personalities that manifest themselves everyday!

I do have to say I am grateful for family, friends and my Savior - Jesus Christ.

I'm not going to do much writing just have a lot of pics-sooo enjoy.

Lexi and her 1st ice cream- what a mess!! But she loved it, she cried when it was gone.

We went to see Nana and Deedee- we laid flowers on their headstones to let them know we remember and honor them.

Lexi, now one, is in the 2% group- so we have been trying to give her lots of food and a pediasure everyday. That always proves interesting but she happy and healthy -just a little small. She finally started walking (a lot) on May 23rd. She says Dad, Mom, and Ba (bottle) and we thought we heard yellow the other day. She loves her flip flops and gives big wet kisses.

Jordan is potty trained (yeah:) and loves being a strong big boy. Loves his mommy, daddy, and sister but is not afraid to tell us if something upsets him. Has to talk on the phone to everyone and is constantly asking why. He is a curious child and is so smart it is scary sometimes.

Casey is doing a good job on our fence- it is looking great. Work inside has been put on hold with the glorious weather and a trip to Washington D.C.

I got called as the Primary President so Sunday mornings are interesting. I have good counselors and great teachers. It's a good thing I like working with kids too bad i really don't care for scouts :(

Farming N' Things

I often wonder why I am so tired... After downloading the pics for this post. I now know. Instead of telling you I will merely show you...
We went up to Logan to visit family and to see the cute lil baby animals at American West Heritage Center. We arrived a day before it was open to the public so we went and had a picnic with James, Karen and Kora, and saw the animals at Willow Zoo. The next day we went to the animal farm. We had a blast! Karen and Kora went with us and they were so patient when Jordan wanted to stop and hold every animal or when he ran away from me to go do something he wanted to do! While we were there we also went to lunch with some of my friends- Rich and Bonnie treated us to McDonalds and they were great with the kids.. so Thank you!!

Then Saturday, April 11th we decided to take the kids to an Easter Egg Hunt. Ok, really just Jordan and Lexi observed. It wasn't so much a hunt as a race and an adventure as South Salt Lake just puts the eggs and candy on the grass and the parents put out arms to hold back anybody else from getting candy in that vicinity. I then went to lunch with my nursing school friends and we had a blast! Later that evening Boom-papa (G'pa Fitts) invited us over to dye eggs - Jordan had a blast, just drinking the vinegar water (gross!). He made some great creative eggs and we took some home.

Sunday morning - We had Jordan find the eggs and then, Lexi and Jordan had their baskets and we put them in their cute new easter clothes.

On top of all that Jordan keeps seeing this commercial where the mom makes rice krispie eggs with her girls and then dips it in chocolate and then in sprinkles. He keeps telling me he wants to make them so finally today we did it. He did tell me when he does stuff with dad its fun and when he does stuff with me "you get angry". I didn't mean to put he was driving me nuts trying to help. aaaahhh! big sigh- I need to learn to let go....
The one with chocolate dripping down his face was when we were done with the eggs and he saw that there was chocolate left over and thought it was for him, umm yeah.

And of course random moments of craziness, silliness, exhaustion, or just a sucker time...

Well I am improving - It hasn't been a month. We have done a lot and my only excuse is that my computer (laptop) isn't upstairs anymore so I can't actually update with the kids awake.

The last Saturday in March Kristin and I got together and took the kids to the zoo. Our kids love the zoo, it is a really good thing we have a pass or we would be broke with how often Jordan wants to go. It is really different with two 2 yr olds though. Man! I almost needed a nap afterwards. Lizzy and Jordan sat in the wagon and Lexi was so good in the stroller. We did train rides and carousel and the playground. As always it was good to go to the zoo but better to be with friends.

As always we are still working on our house (to be honest - don't think it will ever get done). Oh well, we will at least have a house we like and then we'll start all over again- HA!
Our latest is outside and fencing. You can't really tell from the pic but let me asure you- It looks 100x better. We took down the chain link fence on the west side with help from our neighbor and took out some trees- Yeah! Jordan watched Lex play for a bit so as a treat we took them to McDonalds! Jord loved it and Lex really likes fries!

Then of course it was conference weekend and between seeing friends from Panama and mission buddies I had a great time. Jordan went up to President Boren and said, "Nice to meet you sir". Then of course, in front of Pres and Sis Williams, Jordan says,"Mom- I fart on your hand". Oh wow- what a little boy!

Of course there were many others I got to see at the reunion but I didn't know if it was ok to posts there pics. I'm pretty sure the people in the pics I did post won't mind.
Jordan is finally going peepee at least in the potty - He even went to the bathroom at Costco tonight. He cracks me up - he is always asking, "you hear it, mom?"
Lex took 3 steps - her first- on Saturday night(April 4) for Gregorio and Aneth. Of course the stinker hasn't repeated them.

I have the best of intentions to update my blog and for some reason it does not get done! Last week with the wonderful weather I had lots of excuses because we went to the park almost every day and then had family stay with us over the weekend. The weekend before that we went up to Logan and hung out with my family. Our business is never ending and then of course winter is revisiting us and with spring went our health. My poor little girl has an ear infection- wow! I'm glad to report that it is the first out of my 2 children.
But here is an update of our activities (some caught on camera and some were not). I have made a goal to be more diligent in remembering my camera.
Let's go Fly a Kite...
Casey bought Jordan a kite and he thinks it is great (it's a shark). We went to a nearby school and decided to try it out. Of course, Jordan decided it was better to play on the toys and Casey (the kid that he is) flew the kite. It got some good height.

Fat Cats!
We took the kids to Fat Cats to eat pizza and play a little. Lex and I mainly ate because there were no games for her. But we had fun and Jordan had a blast!

Driving, driving, driving...
We went to Logan and hung out with my Dad, Karen, Melinda, and Kora. We had fun and ate some good food. My mom was in Tennessee (we missed ya).
Park time...
Nice weather week and St Patty's day... Park, jogging, we got to see Grandma Lisa, and James and Karen came down. We also got to go to Tooele for Kambry's blessing.

Updates...
Lex and Jordan play so cute!! Lex is still standing up by herself no movement and just folded her arms for the first time today after Jordan folded his for prayer. And Jordan is now in the stage of asking why, why, why???

Grandma Susan gave us a cupcake and I set it across from Lex in the wagon- as you can see she got the cupcake and dug right in.

Don't ask what Jordan is doing... he has a screwdriver and an apple. He told me he was fixing it.

Jordan asked for his potty and then sat down on it and read while he went #2 in the toilet- yeah Jordan!!

Lex gives me this look often. I don't know what it means but boy is she cute!

I just noticed that my last blog was a month ago- that is right- 1 month!! I have no idea where that month went...

We have had lots of fun of course and my kids are growing up sooo fast I can't even believe it!

Things we have done this last month...

Went to the zoo, went to the park several times, played outside and with friends, stayed out at my sisters house, cleaned the house, went grocery shopping, did the laundry, ate, napped, changed a thousand diapers (maybe more) and all those fun things. Here are some pics from the last month.

Jordan loves TV right now, (I turn it off to play with him and he throws a fit until I give in and turn it back on) Diego, Dora, Yo Gabba Gabba. He also really likes Momma Mia and likes to sing the songs every now and then. Jordan is also learning all sorts of words now and is putting them into sentences. He sure does crack me up, lately he has done the following. His favorite word right now is Why! He calls me a Big Mommy (casey says it is meant as a compliment- I sure hope so). We were at Albertsons the other day and of course my highly opinionated son had to have the car cart so he is driving in it and I stop to pick up an item and he turns to me and says, " What's the matter darlin?" He did this every time I stopped for an item then he stood up and when I told him to sit down because I was going to go, well, he didn't do it fast enough cuz i went and he fell. I am laughing because you should have seen his face! Bewilderment! Needless to say he stayed in the car part of it for the rest of the time. He also tells me to go away, he's mad at me, he's grumpy or he is a happy guy. He also told me I was his girl the other day. Most often though he looks at me with those beautiful chocolate brown eyes and says, " I love you, mom." He is so good to his sister although he loves to hug her like he hugs his daddy (his squeezy hug) Lex doesn't like that.

Speaking of my beautiful baby girl- she will be 10 months old next Monday. She is still a mama's girl. She can give you a smile that melts your heart and a cry that makes you cringe. She was doing so well during the night but she wakes up a least once during the night- sickness, teeth, who knows. Anyway she likes swinging at the park and sliding with mom. She loves food but food she can feed to herself. I really don't know where she gets her independency from! haha. Although, she is a contradiction within herself. She doesn't like holding her bottle, she wants you to feed it to her and hold her. She is still cruising furniture, I really thought that she would walk by 10 months but definitely not by herself. She loves her princess sippy cups but then again so does Jordan. She loves outside and wagon rides and the zoo. She also likes to sing and say mamammamamamama and hum, she just started playing with her tongue.

Casey is still plugging away at the basement, he has the shower tile up and the paint in the bathroom done. The texture on the walls look great. We are still aiming for May and I do my part by keeping the kids out of the basement.

Cupcakes

Jordan has been asking if Aaron and Collin can come over and play for almost 3 weeks now and things have just been crazy! We finally got around to having them over and they had fun (well, Jordan did). We served pigs in a blanket with cheetos. Alyssa is the only one that actually ate hers. Then the boys got busy playing while I pulled out the frosting etc. Maybe I should explain something when I asked Jordan what he wanted to do with his 'friends' aka cousins he told me he wanted to make cupcakes. He might have conceived this idea from our calendar we have hanging in the kitchen.

Aaron, Collin, and Jordan were very patient as I helped them frost it and then they could decorate but they were funny! Everyone wanted to see what I had in mind and they loved choosing which one they wanted next- Here are some we did....

My Nana

Well it's almost been a year since my dear nana passed away. I sure do miss her still but know she is in a much better place. Jordan, Alexis and I went up to Midway yesterday to 'visit' her. We placed valentine balloon on her gravesite and some pink roses from my dad. It sure is a good thing Aunt Ancy had put that pinwheel up - that is the only way we found the gravesite. I had to remove about a foot of snow over her headstone. Jordan blew her a kiss as we were leaving- He is such a cute boy.

We also went to go see my Aunt Deedee and took her a flower...

Her husband, Uncle Bob, still lives in Midway and was feeling under the weather so we visited him and took him some lunch...

While we were there we figured we should do something fun for Jordan so we went to Dairy Keen - the train place and got to see the Hogwarts train and Jordan rode the little train and loved it. The train outside was too wet.

And not to forget cute lil booger Lex but she just really like eating and sleeping on our trip so this is a pic of her at home eating a goulash meal and loving every minute of it...

I am now fully aware of 2 things, I am losing my mind in my old age and I am WEAK!!

Jordan and I went out this morning to shovel the walk and play in the snow. We were having fun and he wanted me to make 'snowman balls', so, I started making a snowman. Yep, that's when it hit me - I couldn't remember how to make a snowman! I couldn't believe. Fortunately for me, my brain kicked in and dragged up all the experiences I had had doing this particular task and I made the first body ball (something still wasn't right because it was Not round. The second body ball went smoother but then that is when I found out my second (shall we say) weakness, haha. Not sure if it was from my Yoga class this morning or just general weakness (probably the latter). To get to the point - Jordans' snowman is Bob, so here he is...

Birthdays and Ringing in 2009!

December 31st - Happy Birthday to Casey!! I like this day because Casey usually gets back from Wendover and I finally get some sleep. On this particular day, Tait, Jordans' friend had his birthday too. So Tait invited us to go bowling with them. We had so much fun!! Jordan and Tait had a blast and they were a hoot. Steph and Jon bought us some food, (thank you) and a good time was had by all. Here are some pics to visual what it looks like to see a 2.5 yr old and a 3 yr old bowl...

We finally got to see Casey that night and the kids (& Casey) got to take naps before heading over to G'ma Susans' for dinner (a tradition to celebrate Jared and Caseys Bday and the new year). There was great food, fun and company to celebrate with. Lex went to bed at 9:30, a whole hour later than normal and Jordan stayed up with us til 1:30!!! I was exhausted!! Unfortunately, for me, we had the video camera and not the digital and our card on the video cam was full! Fortunately, we caught Sean dancing for the first time ever!! Ring of Fire dancing and a game of (hmmm not sure what to call it) Keep the ball on the table by blowing- I don't know but I do know the kids loved it!! Winding Down

I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and eventually forgive me for my lack of Christmas updates but I am planning on sending something out the first of the year. We had a wonderful Christmas -spending time with family and friends.
Lexi and Jordan are still growing like weeds - I love these pics of them...

We had FHE at the zoo, the lights were beautiful and Jordan thought it was great.

Both Jordan and Alexis got to see Santa this year. Although in two different places. Here is Lex sitting with Santa and Mrs. Clause at the Primary Activity...

My sisters Chrissy and Karen were able to meet me at Festival of the Trees (we are trying to turn it into a tradition and trying to get our mom and other sis to it). We took this picture and had finally had a picture of all the grandkids and now we are already behind, Chrissy had her little girl on Dec 14th. We had fun and enjoyed being together although, next year we might have to leave the kids behind.

At the close of this year I am so thankful for all that I have, my family, my house (even if it is still under construction), my job - I work for/with great people, and especially my Savior and Redeemer who continues to bless me and love me. I am also grateful for all my friends who support me and continue to help me want to be better.

More time has gone by than I remember and it's insane how much has happened in that time.

My little boy informs me daily that he is a Big Boy and a Nice Boy. And he is both!! He also has started telling me -"I need to see sumping" (translation- something) and after I explain something he says "Ohhh, Right." He is growing up so fast and he is still so cute!

Lex is doing little sting bug moves and loves to stand up in her crib and bassinet (the latter one scares me pretty bad). She is gaining weight very slowly and is still really small. Casey has taught her how to kiss the mirror and he has loved spending more time with the kids this month.

I have been working a little bit more than usual this month and I sure do appreciate my kids more. I love coming home and having Jordan run up to me and say "Mom, Mom" and hug me around the knees. He also asks, "work good?". So it has been fun and we are looking forward to having Christmas because he is so cute and saying "ho, ho, ho, Merry Chisimas (that's it phenetically)".

Time Flies

I can't believe how time has flown this month.
Casey and I went to California for Cody and Kylies' wedding. I think I would have been content to stay there- they had great weather. I also got to see my grandpa- Pops and get a parking lesson or two. Aunt Nanancy, Jessica and Mitchell came down to San Diego to visit us and do what us Hinkles do best- EAT!
And of course I took my camera but I didn't remember to use it- oops!!

A few things we've done this month is played in the snow, or rather Jordan did...

Lots of baths, considering it is cooler than previous months my children always seem to get dirty

Here is Lexi in one of my mom's sweaters she wore as a little girl. Most days I can't get over how cute she is and how smart. On our trip she decided to start crawling and has only gotten faster!

Jordan is also too smart for his own good and decided one day he was hungry so climbed up on the counters to get some food and then decides to cook his fishes, hahaha!

The following two pics are my little mice in my old mickey mouse ears- Jordan loves 'em so it doesn't surprise me that he insists on Lexi wearing them too.

We've also continued to ATTEMPT to potty train Jordan- what an opinionated youngman- I don't know where he gets it from! Lexi is teething more - her uppers. I had my gallbladder removed and Casey has been super busy trying to take care of us all and work on the basement.

Trick or Treat

My little boy is growing up sssooo fast and he is just way to smart for his own good sometime. He figured out that when he said Trick or Treat on Halloween - he got candy (He learned that really fast!). I think his favorite part was handing out the candy, when there was a knock on the door, he'd run, grab the candy and yell Trick or Treat really loud. It was great entertainment.

The night before Halloween I put Lex in this outfit that is a hand-me-down but is festive and put our green pumpkins out. Jordan filled up the ones I carved and they got moldy.

For Halloween we all dressed up like cowboys, I know not to original but I think Jordan would have flipped if he had had to put on anything else- as is he wouldn't wear his chaps or his boots- Oh well!!

Then on Sunday we went up to Logan and surprised G'pa Doug for his birthday with his 'happy cake' translation birthday cake. Jordan here is wearing my sisters' shoes- I told him if he wanted to go outside he had to have shoes on. At least he listened.

Here is Lex out of her cute dress for Ky's wedding- just a onsies and her tights - and yes, it's okay if you agree with me that she is the cutest baby in the whole world.

Here is Kora and Lex - two little girls in a bucket, they like each other but they don't like the bucket. Not sure why it won't save landscape instead of portrait.

Then lastly just my kids playing with each other. It is amazing that Jordan tries so hard to get Lexi to play with him. It's sometimes funny, sometimes annoying, and sometimes just downright dangerous.

FALL-ing Behind

Holy Moley! I can't believe how time flies. Fall has been great for going outside and having fun here are a few things we've done.

We went and got some pumpkins at a pumpkin patch with some cool tractors. Thanks Eilene for the pumpkins and Kristin and Jason for the invite. We had a great time but Jordan was one onery little kid.

We also visited Gardner Village with Brandee for the Witch Fest. It has happened two years in a row now and we love it. Especially the cinnamon buns that we get at the end. The kids had a great time and it was Really FUNNNN!! Jordans favorite witches were the baseball witches and the one in the boat with the firecrackers.

And last but not least we just went to boo at the zoo today. Believe it or not, Casey made it to the zoo again. (I am shocked). Lexi was a chicken and Jordan was a cowboy that refused to wear his hat or his horse. Kids!

We have been up to lots and nothing.....
We got the bounce house up at our house for a whole week- Jordan loved it but only when someone was bouncing on it with him.

We started Lexi on cereal and she slurps it up- Literally! She likes it and sometimes we don't make it or feed it to her fast enough.

We've started potty training - so far so good but I think i might need a new rug after this- haha.

And of course plenty of goofing off -JR and Lex having a binkie moment and Dad and Jord talking on cucumbers - What next?

Super Fun Stuff

Jordan finally got to meet his favorite celebrity.... Curious George. I can't believe how much fun the Kids' Health and Safety Fair was! Jordan of course got tired and then zonked out afterwards and Lex got a little grouchy, but overall they did good. And we were there with Steph, Tait and Brycen. We had tons of FREE fun.

The State Fair

We had such a great time yesterday at the State Fair. It was $2 admission since it was the first day. We went with some friends and had so much fun. Fortunately, the weather cooperated.

We first went and saw Eilenes' quilt- She won 2nd place! Of course we had to get some kettle corn- Jordan's favorite food. Then we stopped to see the Tigers- there were 6 of them and amazingly beautiful.

Believe it or not we stopped to see the pidgeons, bunnies, cows, goats and sheep. Jordan only liked the first two and was crying by the time we got to the sheep. wow! I never know what that kid is going to like.

In the past couple of weeks we also went to the zoo again. This time we went with Tara ( a girl I work with ) and her two boys.

We also went to Thanksgiving Point to the Petting Zoo- this is the only picture I got before my camera died.

Batter UP!

We had a very fun week. Cole (Jordan's cousin) was staying with G'ma and so we got to play with him and Landon in the pool

Then we got to go to the Zoo with Cole and Tait (one of Jordan's friends). They got to see the elephants, giraffes, penguins- but I think all the boys liked the gator the best. We had so much fun there and it was great cuz we wore them right out!!!

On Saturday - we went to the Bees' Game. I have no idea who they played but we had fun. It was a nice family outing - complements of Mountain Medical Imaging Center. They even bought our dinner!! I love working with great people. We even got to sit next to Brandee, Jared and Landon. Here are some of our pics...

New news this week is that Lexi is already rolling over!! I know I can't even believe it myself and this is her after she not only rolled over but also turned 180 degrees around. Don't ask me how!
And then of course you can see Jordan has found his nose and won'tleave it alone! But this pic is cute cuz he just loves wearing everybody's shoes. Crazy Kid!!

SNOWBIRD

We had so much fun this last Friday! Our friends invited us to stay with them at Snowbird and we took up the invite. We went up during the day and got an all day pass - it was ssssooooo much fun. Thanks to Jason and Kristin for helping with the kiddies and Eilene and Paul for letting us stay in their room. Here are some things we did.

We fed the fish at the pond and the fish just jumped up and gobbled it all up. Jordan liked the throwing of the food - I don't know if he even saw the fish eat it up.

We rode the tram up to the top of the mountain and it was such a beautiful view. Of course Jordan just wanted to throw rocks off the side and Alexis just sat in her stroller - They both loved the fresh air.

Jordan loves bounce houses and the slide - there was a 5 minute limit he had a really hard time sticking to. We ended up there a lot. Lizzy was a little hesitant to get in - she was smart she didn't want to be smashed by Jordan.

The Alpine Slide was awesome - I even had fun. The not so fun part was waiting in line but Jordan went 4 times. When Casey got up there he took him for a ride too. He loved it and the faster the better.

We also did the Peruvian Chair Ride and Jordan insisted on riding(ok sitting) on the Mechanical Bull.

And of course- I love my kids and thought these pics were so cute I had to include them.

Birthday Boy

WOW! is one of Jordan's new words along with a 100 others. He just cracks me up and even more so lately. He finally turned 2 on July 31st and he got a gourmet meal at McDonalds. I know... he has acted 2 for the last 6 mos and I guess now - it is OFFICIAL. OH NO! And all my aunts and uncles kept calling him birthday boy so he started saying it. It sounds a lot like birf boy

July has been super busy. My maternal grandparents finally got to meet my children. Yeah! They brought blocks that my grandpa made. And of course Jordan loves them because they make noise and are stored in a wagon. Then he met even more family at my grandpas' cousin reunion.

We also went to Zions for a family reunion and really had fun. Casey, Jordan and I went to the park for a day and went on the Emerald Pools hike. Alexis stayed with cousin Kora and my sister took care of them- Thank you Chrissy! We had a lot of fun, ok, maybe not Casey who turned out to be the pack mule- JR didn't want to walk.

Animal Planet here we come. Jordan, Alexis and I went to Liberty Park to an Animal Planet Expo. It was really hot and I couldn't believe how many people were there but Jordan had a great time and even won a little panda - he wanted to do all the rides but he was a little too short. Poor guy!

And this is what Alexis did...

It has been a very busy month but it has been fun. We have met new friends and spent some great time with family - and that was our favorite part.

Family and Camping

July hit and we have been trying to keep up. Pops came to visit from California and was here for Lexi's and Kora's blessing.

We also had Scott and Nancy and their kids here for the 4th of July. We had FUN!
We took a breather at the zoo on Monday with friends; Kristin, Lizzy, Calum, Eilene and Jenifer. Jordan rode the carousel but was a chicken and would only sit on the seats. He loved the rolling water ball.

Then Pineview, the Van Wagenen family reunion, was great. We survived a night- and some days. Last year Jordan LOVED the beach and the water. Not so much this year. And of course Lexi just hung out... We love Pineview. We came home Wednesday night and slept so much better in our own beds butlow and behold Thursday a.m. all I heard was 'ine uw' translation: PINEVIEW. Needless to say- we went to Pineview. What do you think happens- we get to the beach and he crawls under the towel and falls asleep. It was awesome. Too bad all you can see are his legs.

Busy, Busy!!

It has been so busy lately- okay Jordan has been busy entertaining me lately here are some pics of him... He cracks me up! And of course I had to include pics of the little girl. It still shocks me that she is so cute.

He choose this outfit- helmet and all! He took his bike around the block looking like this and then we joined Brandee and Landon at GHS for a walk, Yes, even in the stroller he had to have the helmet on.

He put his shirt on all by himself! Too bad he missed the arm holes and it looks like a tube top.

Lexi's 1st time going to church. She was so good!

They tell you not to let children put bags on their heads for a reason. I didn't think he'd be able to fit this bag over his head let alone try wearing it. He found me in distress - he couldn't take it off. I about died laughing at him.

Well- Alexis is 1 mos old today and I have done so well in keeping you all updated. NOT. She is doing well and is adjusting to our family and vice versa.

Jordan on the other hand - as you can see is obsessed with the baby's stuff. I can not keep him out of her swing, the bouncer and I have even found him in her bassinett! He is crazy (He is definitely my son).

Casey is keeping really busy with the back lawn- Can we get it done before family is here in July? And Yeah!! we finally got the garden planted. I think I went overboard on the tomatoes - I bought 6 roma tomato plants. I hear you get a lot of tomato per plant. we shall see- Anyone need tomatoes?

I have been so busy(ok- really tired) and I have not updated my blog. Nothing new to report really. Alexis is doing well. We call her Lexi most of the time and Jordan calls her sister or Lex. We found out this last week that she broke her collar bone in the birth process, it is healing nicely though. Jordan is becoming clumsier than ever! Last night he tried to take out a table with his head and on Friday at dinner he put a straw mark in between his eyes. He is really cute with Lexi and loves to 'hod' (hold) her. His vocabulary is improving everyday and he really likes to watch baby signing time. It helps a ton when I have no clue what he wants and he'll sign it.

Casey has been super busy with work, politics and trying to get stuff done in the yard and house. I miss work already and my sleep but love my kids and love watching Casey play with Jordan. He is such a good daddy and helps out at night with Jordan. This is a picture of the bounce house Casey brought home from the store. Unfortunately it rained on Monday and Jordan was not happy until he got to jump on it later that night. And of course it is available to rent from US Novelty & Party Supply.

New Addition

Yeah!! She is finally here... Alexis Grace Fitts came at 7:42 am on May 9th. She weighed 8 lbs 13 oz and was a whopping 21 inches long. She is a vivacious eater and very mellow even when her brother tries to drag her off daddy's lap. As you can see she has plenty of hair that gets a lot of comments.

All I have to say is that she is beautiful! We sure love her a lot already. Jordan has even tried to make her happy when she was crying- he just needs to work on gentle. As for daddy - she already has him wrapped around her finger.

Cars and Wuder

Wow it has been quite the last few days....

Sleeping arrangements have changed at our house....AGAIN. It seems Jordan does great for a while and then randomly he has to start waking up again during the night and man - it never ceases to take its toll on me. It's been really nice that Jordan is such a daddy's boy right now:)!! hahaha! So this year alone we have adjusted Jordan to a toddler bed to free up the crib for the little girl and that went so well. It was amazing how well he did - he decided that he was ready. Well that gave him a lot more freedom (which I wasn't too keen on) but we did well. More recently however, he has decided that no way was he going to sleep in his bed all night long and that sleeping with dad was so much better. He, however, likes to snuggle big time and that means literally sleeping on your face sometimes. So more often than not mom opted for the couch. Finally, we decided on moving one of the twin beds up from downstairs so we could sleep with him in his room- trying to avoid him waking sister in the future. We finally got that done and had to buy some cute bedding so he would be interested in staying in his room. But he is doing quite well- finally since I am due in 1 week!

As for wuder aka water... Jordan says it like wuder he has started watering my plants and this is a great pic of him watering. Yes it looks like he is peeing - it cracked me up to see him watering with the hose in between his legs.

So I keep meaning to update and more and more things keep happening. Let's start with Jordan's fun adventure to the doctors office.

2 weeks after smashing his fingernail with a hammer (the joys of remodeling) and after turning purple then blue then white it was barely hanging on. It also was looking really red and swollen (its really easy for a 21 mos old to keep his hands clean- NOT) I decided it was time to take him to the doctor. So Saturday morning we got to go see the doctor and he decided it was best to remove the nail! This involved a papoose (nice word for straight jacket), tape, hemastats, and more tape. So this is the picture (I didn't have a camera)... Jordan is put in this papoose and then taped in it so he 'doesn't break free'. Then the doctor scrubbed his finger with betadine and delicately yet very quickly removed the fingernail. He had to do it fast since the INCREDIBLE HULK was already turning purple and busting through the tape and velcro. The doctor then wrapped it with gauze, coban and more tape only to have us both turn away for a few seconds to see it lying on the floor. Meet Mr. Houdini. After all this he walked away with 2 lollipops and assurances he did very well. Now all we have to do is TRY to keep it clean and force him to take antibiotics twice a day for 10 days.

Lately he has also been into cats (don't ask me why- his father and mother are not fond of them). He signs cat, he found a little beanie baby cat, ask for his Cat book every night- Pickles, The Fire Cat, and loves the movie The AristoCats.

We are also 11 days away from due date - well see how close to due date we come this time. I've stopped working until further notice - I already miss it. We'll keep you posted.

A day at the Zoo

We finally got a visit from our friends from Idaho. Kendra, Samuel, Jordan and Becca went to 'Build a Bear Workshop' on Saturday- lets just say the moms were more interested- the boys just wanted to wash their animals and watch everyone else. We did survive however and Jordan got the triceratops and named it Max, Samuel got the elephant and named it George. Oh- did I mention we added noises to them? Jordan choose the ROAR to put in it- so if he wants Max, it usually gets called 'Saur' (for dinosaur) or ROOOOOAAARRR. Whatever works. And of course I didn't have a camera!! Today however, we made it to the zoo- thinking it wouldn't be as busy as Saturday. Boy were we wrong. It was crazy! But we had fun nonetheless. We saw all the animals and got to ride the train. Of course by the time we got to the train Jordan had fallen asleep- poor boy! We had lots of fun and enjoyed the fresh air. Best of all we had ice cream afterwards!! By the way only 4 weeks till May 12th- due date:). Yeah.

SPIDEY-Power

Well - we went to kid to kid and Jordan wouldn't leave without The Spiderman Hot Wheeler. I don't even know if they still call them hot wheelers but - holy moley - Jordan's 'car' is what he calls it has been around the block everyday since we bought it and he loves pushing all the buttons. "I feel the need for some spider speed", "turning right", "turning left", etc.

I also can't believe how quickly he is learning words and signs. Candy is his favorite sign as of late. We are also trying to teach him 'baby' since that is what he is getting soon- a baby sister. Casey wants the baby to come too. Maybe then he'll get his wife back and his sanity. Just kidding-hahaha!

And finally the count is on! I officially have 4 weeks and 2 days! I am really excited that we are having a girl....

Easter Egg Hunt

It was so fun this year to take Jordan to an Easter Egg Hunt. We decided to go to Wheeler Farm one with some friends and to my surprise (ok- i am a small town girl) it was jam packed. I couldn't believe how many people were there. I thought for sure Jordan and Tate wouldn't get anything because ages 6 and under were one big group. However, Jordan and Tate did really well. I stood by and held Bryson (Jon and Steph's youngest) while Jon and Steph ran around and helped the boys find candy. (I sure am glad I didn't have to run:). They both got enough candy and it took them all of 5 minutes or less. We stood in line waiting to see the Easter Bunny longer than it took them to clear the field. I barely had time to get some pics. We'll see how tomorrow goes... Happy Easter to all!!

Joining the fun

We are finally joining the 'bloggers of America'! Casey's sisters keep telling me I can do it even though I am technologically challenged - so, here goes nothing. A little about us.... Casey is still a workaholic and working at US Novelty and politicking on the side. I am expecting our second child in May and YEAH!! it's a girl. I also work very part time at an Imaging Center. As for Jordan- he is growing so fast and loves to run, run, run.
